PassoverWhat is this Holiday?Passover is my favorite holiday. Along time ago in Egypt, Pharaoh was the ruler of any jew. He did not treat the jews fairly. All the jews were his slave. They worked and worked for him all day and night. So one day a brave hero named Moses was told by g-d to go to egypt and set the slaves free. He went to Egypt and did what g-d said. He went to Pharohs throne and demanded to let the slaves be free. Pharaoh said NO, So God plagued Pharaoh with ten plauges. They were blood, frogs, lice, flies, pestilence?, boils, hail, locustes?, darkness, and death of the first born. The first born was the worst plauge of them all. It killed a lot of people. On that day the jews with lambs blood would not get killed. Pharaoh finaly gave up and let the jews go! What happened after that?Well, of course Pharaoh did not keep his promise and he wanted his slaves back! So he got his army all ready and sent them to go get the jews back! At that time Moses was only at the red sea and Pharaoh was right on his tail, but God would not allow it so he sent a huge Tornado of Fire at his army. Since Moses had some time he placed God's staff in the sea and it spread into 2 walls and while the jews crossed the sea, the army was right in the middle of crossing the sea. So Moses raised his staff and the water fell on the army and was washed away forever. ![]() |
